READY TO SERVE.
Thank you for taking the time to learn more about my candidacy for Newport Beach City Council (District 5). Coming of age during the Reagan years, I experienced the real benefits of a society that values work, entrepreneurism, and a limited government culture that values freedom and individual choice. My passion for public service and a conservative philosophy of governance started in 1988, when I first volunteered for Congressman Dana Rohrabacher and Congressman Christopher Cox’s first U.S. congressional campaigns.
With more than twenty years of private sector experience in real estate finance, I have managed multi-billion dollar projects and their respective budgets that required prudent financial management with the upmost clarity. Recently, I co-founded Arbor Capital Partners located in Newport Beach, where we focus on real estate investment and development within Southern California, Texas and Colorado markets. With my private sector experience coupled with a long history of political activism serving on boards and supporting fiscally conservative candidates, I know how to bridge the gap between businesses, communities and government. If elected, I aim to assess and prioritize our citizens’ and city’s needs to ensure our community can grow while preserving our city’s character and enhancing our quality of life.
As an 18-year resident of Newport Beach, I know how special our city is, and I will keep Newport Beach the indisputable gem of Orange County. My overall guiding philosophy will always center around the principle that the residents and businesses are what make Newport Beach the greatest place to live, work and visit. Every decision I will make on the Newport Beach City Council will be through the prism of protecting the taxpayers’ hard earned dollars and getting the highest value from every dollar the city receives.
My wife also has a long history and deep roots in Orange County. Her family, the Borchard’s, date back to the early 1900’s as pioneer farmers. Her relative also lives and served on the Newport Beach City Council (District 5). Through hard work, drive and passion, we feel fortunate to have the opportunity to raise a family on Balboa Island, in this beautiful coastal community, and continue the legacy. My wife and I are very excited to announce our newest addition to our family, baby Vincent Lowrey, who arrived October 5 at 9AM, weighing 9lbs 8oz. My wife, soon to be stay at home mom, spent the majority of her career in marketing and has served on many political boards, as well as the Newport Beach Host Town Committee Special Olympics.
Between now and November, I want to meet you and hear your ideas, comments and criticisms as we continue to push the boundaries of greatness for our city. Please don’t hesitate to contact me via this website, via my email, or at local meet ups that will be posted on the calendar as they are scheduled. Photos can be accessed by clicking here.
